Handmade leather belt horn holder. The upper layer is made of brown vegetable-tanned leather, the lower layer is made of light green chrome-tanned leather. Together they make a birch leaf, a beautiful symbol of spring, fertility and love.
The design is cut into the leather first, and then painted with top-quality colors. Afterwards, finishes are added to make the color stand out and make them more stable. The edges are burnished so they feel smooth and moisture cannot enter the leather. As a last step, product with beeswax is added to ensure long-lasting quality of the horn holder. This procedure ensures that belt holder will serve you for many, many years. There is some minimal maintenance you should do, though. Read more about that in “Care & Storage” tab.
The belt holder is sewn together carefully by hand using extra durable saddle stitch.

Care & Storage
We use mainly cow leather for our products. During the animal’s lifetime, the skin is kept nourished with continuously replenishing natural oils. Once an animal skin undergoes transformation into leather, we need to add those oils so the skin doesn´t crack. Flexibility can be retained by topping up with lubricating oils and waxes. You can use olive oil, leather balm (available in any shop with leather clothes/shoes) or any other product designed for leather care.
- Using a clean, slightly damp cloth, gently wipe down your leather to remove any visible dirt so nothing gets caught in the leather pores.
- Allow to air-dry. Do not dry using and external sources of heat like ovens of hair dryers.
- Start with a small, fingernail sized amount of olive oil or leather balm on a clean, dry cloth. You can also you your hand to apply the oil or balm. Start with smaller amounts, you can always add more.
- Test small amount on a hidden patch of leather to preview results. If everything look fine, you can start gently rubbing the oil into the leather using a circular motion.
- The leather will start to absorb the oil or balm immediately. The appearance may initially darken, but over the next 24 hours, it will return to its natural state.
Repeat this procedure at least once a year, or more often if the item is exposed to heavy use. Additionally, always follow these rules:
- Never wash leather in washing machine.
- Never use chemical cleaning products on leather. Make sure all products are specially designed for leather care (except olive oil)
- Store the leather in a dark, dry place. Avoid continuous exposure to direct sunlight as it dries the surface and makes it more prone to cracking.

In case we don´t have the size you need, we can craft custom-made item (based on this product) for you.
- As each item is handmade, certain details can differ from the product on display.
- Requesting change in color is possible (for example from red to green, but we cannot guarantee mixing a very particular hue. In general, light and pastel colors can be a problem; normal or darker colors are easier to mix)
- Adding initials to the upper (belt) part is possible.
- No change in the original pattern is possible.
- Delivery time will be extended by 1 – 4 weeks, depending on how busy we are.

- Circumference of your horn (measured few centimetres down from the upper rim)
- If you´re ordering a belt holder for a horn that is also part of the order, please let us know. We will take the necessary measurements ourselves.
- Change of color if applicable
- Requested initials if applicable
Important!
- Please note that by buying custom-made product, you give up your right to get a refund according to our Refund and Returns Policy. However, if you are not satisfied with the product, we will try to solve that on idividual basis depending on how the product is resellable. For example, product in green instead of red can be resellable (you may get a refund), but product with engraved initials is never resellable (unfortunately no refund).
